Without a doubt the best property in Himachali. Its a farmhouse with their own organic farm- where you can go blackberry, raspberry, strawberry or fruit picking. The kids will love the farm experience - the harvest and the cute farm animals , Khobli the cat is adorable , while Beswa the resident dog will chaperon you everywhere.
This wooden cottage has all the amenities you have in five stars - with the addition of peace , quite and farm life experience like no where else.
Hospitality and property is what makes this place unique.
You'll feel home with serenity all round. The host is a super cool person who has loaded the property with all modern day amenities keeping in mind the rustic architecture.
They have great farms for apples palms apricots and what not.
The food they serve is top notch served as per your convenience with special touch as per your ask.

A perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. Beautiful homestay amidst mountains, so calm and serene. It is pet friendly as well. Hospitality is superb, Rohit did a commendable job. The food is really delicious. Highly recommended.
One issue we faced was reaching this place as it doesn’t take to the exact location so better contact the person there before starting your journey.
Deceptively marketed; Exorbitantly Priced
We booked their 'Dogri' room for 3N/4D. We'd wanted to book for 2N/3D but they refused to take the booking on the pretext that snowfall was predicted, so they wouldn't let go of 1N booking. But when we visited the property, we didn't see many people. They'd even given away single rooms in their villa at half the price at which we booked. Commercial interest supersedes guests' interests.
The property is about 70/90km from Shimla in a small village Ratnari. There are no shops nearby to buy basic things like milk/biscuit etc (ofcourse their insta page won't say this). Once in their 'Dogri' you're on yourself. Farm activities are highly seasonal, and exist more to attract customers, than for its own sake. The observatory needs a prior booking (at extra cost!) for someone to come from Chandigarh and operate it. You can only spend so much time with ducks/chicken/rabbits/dog/cats.
Food is excellent, but expensive. And you're totally dependent on them for food. Architecture is beautiful, rooms are cosy. Staff is very courteous, and leaves no stone unturned to make you feel home.
They're heavily marketing themselves on Insta, and the pictures you see there (of snow/trees/animals/etc) don't necessarily depict the current situation there. So good to use your judgement here.
All in all, we believe it was a giant leap to visit Meena Bagh all the way from Bangalore at these prices. Not visiting again, not recommending anyone. Maybe good for a one/two day excursion from Delhi/Chandigarh.
When I was visit in this property Firstly I feel comfortable
I saw the luxurious resort between the parts of Apple I love it much , this is a eco friendly resort , the distance between Shimla to Ratnari it's about 85 km
The owner of this resort is a journalist
The resort is surrounded by apple orchards. After this stay, it felt as if I had seen God in person.
Meenabagh is such a tastefully done place. Loved the whole vibe during my stay at Ratnari. It's a remote village, away from all the city crowd, just nature and solace around.
I stayed at the newly constructed unit- Dogri which is beyond mesmerizing. My favourite part was the bathroom. The food was super delicious and the staff was really curteous. The owner, Mr Sanjay Austa is a visionary & a permaculture enthusiast who keeps adding valuable additions to the property like the farm animals l, the observatory etc which makes visitung Meenabagh even more worth.
And who can even miss mentionening the sweetheart Beswa! 🐶❣️
Would definitely be back soon! ☺️

It was our first farm stay at ratnari meena bagh , from the day we checked in to check out the staff took good care of us .

What a great vibe at this place . The new cottages near the main bungalow are beautiful. Each and everything in this property is placed for a pleasant experience for the guests. The staff is really brilliant, especially Vikram the head chef. India's second largest privately owned telescope has been commissioned from 12th Jan and you can enjoy stargazing on a different level. I love the experience of being here .
I forgot to tell the owner of the property Mr. Sanjay Austa is a guy to see and talk about the property and the farm.
